Research Manager - Diverse Brains Project
Health and Gender Unit, Department of Ambulatory Care
Biography
I am a neuroscientist studying how diversity influences brain health and cognitive aging. I currently lead the Diverse Brains Project at Unisanté, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). This international research project examines how the intersections between sex, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status influence brain health across the lifespan, with a focus on underrepresented populations in both Western and non-Western countries. Our goal is to develop inclusive models of brain health that better reflect the diversity of populations around the world.
I earned my PhD at McGill University, where I studied how sex differences influence age-related changes in brain structure, function, and cognition. Before my current position, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at CHUV/UNIL, where I examined how risk and lifestyle factors differently shape brain aging trajectories in men and women.
