Primary Care
Primary care research is vital in order to understand and improve the services provided by physicians, pharmacists, medical assistants and, increasingly, nurses.
Primary care is an essential mission for Unisanté. Our research goals in this field are as follows:
Improving clinical transitions, particularly for older patients
Developing new care models
Developing new nursing roles and new competencies for medical assistants
Developing pharmacists’ clinical competencies
Implementation in primary healthcare
Unisanté puts the emphasis on interdisciplinarity, for example by taking an interest in pharmacy, new care models, qualitative research or the implementation sciences. We also offer a public health approach based on prevention and research into health systems. Finally, we undertake research activities in the fields of gender mainstreaming (gender perspective across all subjects), patient involvement (particularly via shared decision making and shared health planning) and sustainability in primary healthcare.
