Camille VELARDE

Biography

Camille Velarde works as a research fellow in the Projects and Development sector at the Department of health promotion and prevention (DPSP) in Unisanté.

She holds a Master in Medical Biology (Neuroscience program) and a PhD in Life Sciences (impacts of sugar- and artificially-sweetened beverages consumption on visual food perception and intake behavior) from the University of Lausanne, as well as a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Health Promotion and Community Health from the Institute of Global Health, University of Geneva.

Her research in the Projects and Development sector at DPSP primarily focuses on health-supportive environments and urban health, the relationships between health promotion and durability, with a strong interest and significant contribution to the institutional development of health advocacy. She also led the development of the fast-track Delphi process for scientific expert consensus building and quantification, which has been applied for various projects in the tobacco control and urban health areas.
